This class has been a struggle for me but I am proud of myself that I have continued along and asked questions and have been able to complete it.  I am walking away with more knowledge than I truly know what to do with.  I use mixbook and can see there are many other tools like this that I may experiment with.  I also enjoyed the Flickr and looking through the pictures.  I use a blog at school so this was familiar to me and I learned other things I can use my blog for.  I will continue to use my notes and worksheets I printed out in this course and take my time going through each one over again to see what I can use in my personal and professional life.  This was a fun way to get my co-workers together as a team and learn something new.

Social networking is not something I am familiar with. I have signed into Facebook but I was really not interested in it so I closed my account. I just don’t seem to be able to find the time to sit down by the computer and email, and socialize on the computer.  I know this is an area I really need to work on and learn how to manage my time better so I can focus and learn more about it.

I searched through Classroom 2.0 and found many interesting topics.  I see where this could be used in a classroom like I use United Streaming in my classroom today.

I was looking through my google reader and the one thing that caught my eye was the Life on Minimum Wage game.  It is very difficult especially in this economy to be able to afford the things you want and need and decide between a need and a want.  This game really made me think about what we really need to live and what we splurge on because they are things we really just want.  This seemed like a fun game to play.

Pageflakes was a little bit overwhelming for me.  I really had to watch the help videos and read all of the helpful tips (and they really were helpful).  I think I would use pageflakes for more of a personal use.  I can use it on a daily basis to read my horoscope, check out what is happening in the world, check out the weather etc.

I am not sure how I would use this in my classroom environment but, I really can see where people would use this on a personal level to keep you up to date in the world around you.

My experience with Google Docs was not easy but I perserved and completed the task.

Three things I think I could incorporate into my professional life using Google Docs would be, giving a presentation to my class about whatever lesson we may be working on, I could also use this in my Chapel at school to help give visuals for the Bible lesson and last I could use the spreadsheet for checking off children when a task is completed.

I think You Tube was one of the most interesting projects we have worked on so far. I found the Baseball Bloopers really funny.  I guess this one was most interesting to me because I love watching my boys play baseball and found so many of these bloopers hilarious.

I found many other sights interesting too.  There was one video about children who have parents with drinking and drug problems.  This was very sad to me but it gave ideas on how to handle this in your professional life.

I needed some assistance with this project.  I have never used Audacity or any other voice thread in the past.  I think it is a really neat concept and I could see where teachers in the older grades use it in their classroom for book reports and other projects.  I’m not sure that I would use this in my grade level.  If I had to come up with one idea of how to use this professionally I think I would use it for our ‘Generation Celebration” and have each child record their favorite thing they do with their grandparents and I could use it in the classroom when the grandparents come visit their grandchild’s classroom.

I don’t use iTunes and I don’t have an iPod or an iPhone.  My husband uses his iPod but I don’t. I don’t listen to a lot of music.  After driving two small boys around I enjoy the peace and quiet whenever I get the chance.  I don’t believe that I will use Podcasting in my professional or personal life.

Library thing was one of the easier and one of the more enjoyable tasks we have had so far.  I love James Patterson and when I searched for him in the Library I was able to see which books I have not read yet.  I really don’t have a lot of time to read with two young boys, baseball, soccer, and a teaching career but I do try to find the time to sit down with a good book when I get a break.  I think I could use Library thing in my professional career looking up authors and books for young children.  We are always looking for something new to read in the classroom or something that goes with our lesson for the week.

I think delicious is a great site and these are just a few of my favorite things… arts, baseball, food, books and Hollywood scoop.

I would definitely use this site and find a lot of great information from it.
